The Unexpected Miracle

That was unexpected

my brother said to me.

I thought I was in heaven,

but I’m still here you see

I played beautiful music

and married my sweet wife.

She gave me two wonderful kids;

not bad for the unexpected life.

He said it’s all unexpected,

the good and bad of life

The lucky ones beat the odds

and rise above the strife.

 Bobbie, I really did it all;

at least the things I could.

I wouldn’t change a moment of

my unexpected reward.

Chorus

I remember the day he died.

He made us laugh and then we cried.

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

why do we lose the ones that love the most?

What’s most unexpected

is not the end of life.

It is how you make the journey

and how you share the path

The unexpected miracle

that released his soul and pain

Showed us he was in heaven

to live life again.

Chorus

I remember the day he died.

He made us laugh and then we cried

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

why do we lose the ones that love the most?
